Why? Edit

Listing pak0.pk3's complete contents as a 'todo' seems rather against clean room implementation.  I'm thinking about removing a few of the Q3-specific things on this wiki as that encourages too much for 'painting by the numbers' giving a false impression of the OA project as a 'clone game'.   We are not explicitly documenting Q3A.   I may delete the pak0 pages soon since it's not about direct equivalents anymore and it shouldn't have to be. -Leileilol (talk) 17:00, October 13, 2014 (UTC)

I never digged too much inside this stuff... However, a page called simply "Pak0.pk3-files" which shows Q3A-dedicated stuff seems a bit out of place. Enhancing compatibility with maps and mods designed for Q3A is still one of the objectives of OA, I hope... however a page like this one may be moved to a different path, where it is more clear it is more a page of support for developers, than something for the general public. If it is something like List of missing sounds, List of missing textures, List of missing textures and shaders of Q3 and TA maps (by the way, I suppose those pages should be updated), maybe it may somehow be useful (however, those "list" pages, if correct, should already do the job), but it may be clearer that's not something of interest for simple players. --The Gig (Contact me) 07:06, October 14, 2014 (UTC)
